The Global Esports Federation (GEF) has announced a partnership with blockchain network Flare Networks.
The agreement will see Flare Networks become GEF’s official global partner for Blockchain Ecosystems.
According to a release, the partnership will see both entities help establish a pathway for engaging blockchain technologies with esports communities around the world.
Adrian F. Lismore, GEF Board Member and Chair of its Finance, Legal and Administration Commission, commented on the collaboration: “Our global community has asked us to lead the way and provide the guidance, framework, and integrity measures appropriate to enhance their trust.
“This global partnership with Flare Networks will help the GEF, our Members, and Partners, light the way for our community to engage with blockchain.”
GEF is an industry body that looks to promote the credibility and legitimacy of esports internationally.
Flare Networks is a decentralised blockchain network that utilizes the XRP Ledger, and claims to be the world’s first Turing-complete Federated Byzantine Agreement (FBA) network.
